Mickleham Choral Society

Mickleham Choral Society is a community choir, which meets in the Mickleham Village Hall on Thursday evenings.  We currently have around 70 singers of varying abilities, all who have a passion for music and a love of singing.

Formed in 1907, the society was started up so local singers could take part in the Leith Hill Musical Festival.  Today it has 4 main events in its calendar. A concert for Remembrance Sunday, a Christmas Concert which is usually a sell out, the Leith Hill Music Festival and a light-hearted Summer Concert which includes a Glyndebourne-style picnic afterwards. We have also had the good fortune to perform under the Christmas Tree in Trafalgar Square for the last 2 years as part of the Greater London Authority Christmas Programme. Long may this tradition continue…….

Choir members are also invited to sing with the Surrey/Leith Hill Festival Choir in various concerts held at the Dorking Halls and Guildford Cathedral.

The choir is very lucky to have Juliet Hornby as its Music Director and Lynda Chang as its Musical Accompanist.
